Bangladeshi jamdani saree is also known as Dhakai Jamdani Saree. Bangladeshi Jamdani saree is the best-wearing dress made of an amazing weaving technique and cotton combination. There are lots of use for jamdani saree like kurta, nakshirona, turban, curtain, handkerchief, etc but most of the time it is used for jamdani sarees. In the vogue 1800s sherwani designs with jamdani. The provincial clothing of Nepal and the Mughals used jamdani cloth. In muslin saree weaving they will use a minimum of 300 yarn count. Types of Jamdani Saree

There are lots of types of jamdani saree. For example, silk jamdani, half silk jamdani, and cotton jamdani all of the craftsmen knitted jamdani is authentic jamdani. This is suitable to wear for a couple of years.  On the other hand, power loom jamdani is also available on the market and the price also will be low which will be polyester yarn made. It’s not original jamdani is also not comfortable wearing this saree. If you are wearing copy Jamdani saree you need to face various skin problems. The expected design is limited in machine saree so you have to use limited imitation. The other side of this saree is cut in the threads. Common types of jamdani saree

There are three common types of jamdani saree.

  1. Half silk jamdani- In this jamdani, vertical yarns are made of cotton, and horizontal yarns are made of silk.
  2. Follow cotton jamdani- This is made with jamdani yarn.
  3. Flower silk jamdani- This is made of silk.

Feature Of Jamdani

For example Pansi, Tercha, Panna Hazar, Mayurpankhi, Karla, Batpata, Jal, Kalkapar, Katihar, Duria, Dubli, Jalpar, Butidar, etc. On the other hand, oblique jamdani is called when the design of herbs or six flowers is aligned obliquely. The weaving of vines and flowers in all ground is called net design.
